Large and striking, experimental Rookwood Pottery standard glaze charger decorated with incised image of a young woman by Anna Valentien in 1898. MINT CONDITION. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Marks include the company logo, which indicates the date, Trial shape T 1061 B, Cincinnati Art Museum acquisition number 457:02 in red paint and the incised initials of the artist. Diameter is 12 1/2 inches. Listed in Burt, ©2,292 pieces of early Rookwood Pottery in the Cincinnati Art Museum in 1916© as item 126 on page 130. ©Plaque T 1061 B, A.M.V. Standard-Dec has incised outline.© The foot rim has three factory apertures for hanging. Charger is 12 1/2" in diameter.
