No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Bottom marked with Halmos and 2002.  Vase is 11" tall and 4 1/2" wide.  NICE!  Halmos Pottery is produced by Ferenc Halmos.  He was born in Pecs Hungary in 1956 and has been creating ceramics since 1977. Halmos art pottery can be found in the art collection of the Janus Pannonius Museum in Pecs Hungary. Halmos pottery is famous for producing beautiful ceramic pieces in the sought-after eosin glaze similar to Zsolnay.

Good mid-century modern Herman Kahler Demark Pottery fish.  Exceptional form, color and glaze.  MINT CONDITION.  No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Bottom marked with HAK logo and DENMARK.  Fish is 5 1/2" tall and 7" long.  Kahler Keramiks was founded in 1839 but didn't begin producing ceramics until around 1900 when Herman Kahler began producing luster glazed pottery.  Herman Kahler inherited Kahler Keramiks in 1872 and directed the pottery until his death in 1917.  Others important artists were Sven Hammershoi who developed the luster glazes of the early 1900s and Jens Thirslaund who developed a later line of luster glazes in the 1920s.  Kahler Keramiks produced high-quality Danish pottery until the mid 1950s when it went out of business.

Bottom marked with logo, L HJORTH and DENMARK. Vase is an impressive 14 1/2" tall and 7" wide. We purchased this vase from a private collector who purchased it on Bornholm, the home island of Hjorth and he took it to the Hjorth museum. While there he met Marie Hjorth and she attributed the vase to be a unique work done by her father, Erik Hjorth. Hjorth was established in Denmark in 1859 by Luritz Adolph Hjorth. Hjorth produced high-quality studio pottery as well as production pieces. Hjorth was considered the premier art pottery maker in Bornholm and produced quality examples throughout the art deco and biomorphism movements.

Bottom marked Palshus, Denmark, PLS for Per Linneman-Schmidt and 1183. Bowl is 1" tall and 3 1/4" wide. Palshus was started by Per Linneman-Schmidt and his wife Annelise in Denmark in 1948. The early pieces of Palshus consist of simple arts and crafts style form in superior matte glazes in browns, green, blue, and cream. Later examples of Palshus are typically rough glazed pieces with incising and other decoration. Palshus Pottery closed its door in the early 1970s. Examples of Palshus are now highly sought-after by Scandinavian and European art pottery collectors.
