About Chicago Crucible Pottery

Chicago Crucible pottery began producing an art pottery line around 1917 shortly after the firm was acquired by Nothwestern Terra Cotta. In addition to Chicago Crucible, Nortwestern Terra Cotta also produced Norweta Pottery. Examples of Chicago Crucible are typically marked with a stamped Chicago Crucible mark. Unmarked examples have also been found.
