Matte Green was introduced by Roseville Pottery around 1907. It is sometimes difficult for Roseville collectors to distinguish Matte Green from Chloron and Egypto. Roseville produced 302 shapes in the Matte Green glaze. Many other American art pottery companies produced pottery similar to Roseville so it can sometimes be difficult to verify the maker unless the shape in shown in the factory stock pages.
