Large, bulbous Newcomb College Pottery vase with a band of thistle decorated by Anna Francis Simpson in 1926.  EXCELLENT CONDITION.  There is a professional restoration to two small base nicks. Investment quality and exceptional early 1900 Robertson Pottery nude bookends.   Great form, color, design and glaze. MINT CONDITION.  No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.   Fred Robertson began producing art pottery as early as 1906 in the kilns of Los Angeles Pressed Brick Company which was established as Robertson Pottery in 1934.  Fred Robertson had worked with his father Alexander Robertson at Roblin Pottery.   Backs marked with F. H. R. and Los Angeles.  Book ends are 6 1/4" tall and 5 1/4" wide.
