Rare and early high glaze Newcomb College Pottery high glaze vase with a ring of daisies.  EXCELLENT CONDITION.  We had three short and tight hairlines to the rim and a small base edge chip professionally restored.  Displays beautifully and has no other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Bottom marked with AF52 and unknown artist cipher KW for Katherine Wood.  Vase is 6" tall and 3" wide.  NICE!

Beautiful and early Newcomb College Pottery hand carved and decorated floral pitcher by Sarah Irvine.  Superior artwork and color.  EXCELLENT CONDITION.  There is a tiny and flat glaze flake to the base ring that is likely factory done and is only mentioned for accuracy sake.  Totally non-showing and no other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Bottom marked with logo, ED-84, B, JM for pottery Joseph Meyer and cipher for Ms. Irvine.  Pitcher is 3 3/4" tall and 4 1/4" wide from handle to spout.

Very nice 1926-30 Newcomb College Pottery vase in a nice mirror black glaze with incised design to shoulder and body.  MINT CONDITION.  No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Bottom marked with Mary Celeste.  Vase is 5" tall and 5 3/4" wide.  Mary Celeste Robertson Spiess designed this vase during her years at Newcomb College from 1926 to 1930.

Very rare Newcomb College Pottery high glaze framed plaque deeply carved with two satyrs playing musical instruments under a moon and stars.  EXCELLENT CONDITION.  There are two firing cracks that extend form the bottom edge to the middle of the plaque and some minor flakes to the horns of one of the satyrs.  No other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Back marked with logo, H and B and cipher for Leona Nicholson. The H and B marks around the logo indicate a hand built piece.  The M indicates that a mold was later made from this piece.  Pottery portion is 7" tall and 8 1/2" wide.  Frame is 12 3/4" tall and 14 1/4" wide.  Super piece!

Vase is 4 1/2" tall and 7" wide.  Norse Pottery is glazed in a dull, dark metallic type glaze. Forms were made to resemble ancient Denmark, Sweden, Greek and Norway Vikingstyle pottery. Items produced included jardineres, vases, candlesticks, bowls, ashtrays, covered jars, etc. Norse Pottery ceased production in 1913.

Rare Norweta Pottery vase by Northwestern Terra Cotta Company of Chicago.  MINT CONDITION.  No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.  Bottom stamped Norweta and #1003.  Vase is 5 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" wide.  Norweta's crystalline glazes were inspired by Teco's glazes exhibited at the St. Louis exposition around 1904.  Norweta produced art pottery for only a very short period of time.
